Death Angel
These Bay Area thrashers have been welcome guests in Eindhoven since the eighties. Their immensely tight and inventive metal reaps the respect from devotees and detractors alike. In 1990 Death Angel headlined the Dynamo Open Air festival, this year they are one the Speedfest heavyweights.

Karma To Burn
Superior desert rock flowing on a psychedelic undercurrent. Hot enough to ignite liquor, high enough for guitar karma rising to clouds of stratosphere smoke. This band might not even need a plane to fly overseas. Their curve of suspense reaches all the way from West Virginia to the Dutch city of light.

GBH
Last year G.B.H had to cancel their appearance on Speedfest. Therefore the English punk diehards are determined to make up for it in a furious manner. It can't be said enough: those who claim punk is dead, were at the wrong fucking funeral!

US Bombs
Bona fide punkrock from the streets of California, bringing a salute to The Clash while they're at it. Besides living skatepunk legend Duane Peters, the notorious line-up from the nineties is coming over, so a bombardment of U.S. Bombs classics will shake the venue to its foundations.

New Bomb Turks
Last Juli they were one of the highlights of Sjock Festival. At Speedfest the high-octane punkrock & rollers from Ohio won't settle for anything less. These days a New Bomb Turks blowout is rarer than an Elvis sighting at Burger King. This will be their first Dutch show since a million beers.

Valient Thorr
More denim than Turbonegro, more battle calls than Manowar and more balls than the current Metallica. Five blacksmiths from the States melt down old British metal with eighties thrash to hammer out their own hard-boiled alloy. And when it comes to touring, Valient Thorr maintain a Viking mentality.

Coffin Nails
For nearly a quarter of a century Coffin Nails are among the ambassadors of the early psychobilly sound from the British quiff gutters. With beer gladiator Humungus at the helm, their rollicking gigs remain full of 'gravest hits'. The nail in the coffin of fake-a-billies.

Triggerfinger
A Belgian powerhouse packing tons of skills and experience. Three aces crank up the cool kind of classic rock to contemporary yet timeless sounds, which come near to those of Josh Homme and his cohorts. Triggerfinger has the punch of a price-fighter's fist.

The Shavers
The only Dutch band bringing songs about booze and women in their mother tongue, while remaining true to the essence of rock & roll. Three of the reasons why they pull it off: a gigantic singer, a beast of a drummer and – without exaggeration - the best surf guitar governor of the Lowlands.

Gewapend Beton
Gewapend Beton is Dutch for reinforced concrete. This compound of steel bars and concrete illustrates exactly what these four lads from Amsterdam blast out of the PA system: concrete punk that's hard as steel. In English and in their native language they scream bloody murder.

Banane Metalik
The greatest band ever to emerge from France belongs to the giants of the psychobilly universe. Banane Metalik have branded their style gore 'n' roll. This unparalleled sound is strengthened with punk, metal and more of The Good, The Bad & The Ghastly, garnished with onstage extravaganza.

Peter Pan Speedrock
The hosts of this grand gathering aim to leave every joint they play roofless, but their annual Speedfest assault is always on the edge of blowing the whole damn building down. When Holland's hardest rock & roll rulers get in gear, the punters go buckwild. A mighty tight band and a loose loony crowd.

50 Foot Combo
Two years ago they called it quits, Speedfest marks the return of Fifty Foot Combo! Five tiki bastards and one tricky bastardess guarantee a steaming cocktail of surf, filthy garage and some fine flavor of Stax soul. Live it's delivered with punk energy, along with a sickening theremin.
www.myspace.com/fiftyfootcombo

The Accelerators
Five years ago singer and bass player Ox Accelerator was already being acclaimed as 'the Dutch Matt Freeman'. Nowadays the whole band is hailed for their stunning punkrock platter released earlier this year. Onstage they tend to get even more accelerated.

Knucklebone Oscar
Finnish firestarters, whose red-hot rock & roll bears the smell of Chuck Berry and Frank Black at a voodoo barbeque. Little Richard looks white, Lucifer gets blackened and all else is in the red. Put the hell back in Helsinki!
www.myspace.com/knuckleboneoscar

Jim Jones Revue
Savage and soul-drenched rock & roll from London. Jim Jones stirs up his disciples like a diabolical preacher, while his stage antics add fuel to the fire. His electrifying band, including a bastard son of The Killer, invokes the filthy swing.
www.myspace.com/thejimjonesrevue

Nigel Lewis & The Zorchmen
The co-founder of The Meteors also left his mark with the Tall Boys and The Escalators. With The Zorchmen he made one hell of a record last year, but their setlist still contains a bunch of old favorites. A killing dose of Rockabilly Psychosis.
www.myspace.com/nigellewisandthezorchmen

Reverend Beatman
The head honcho of both The Monsters and the renowned Voodoo Rhythm Records excels in entertainment value when he takes the solo approach. His trashy gospel leads everyone to the righteous path of primitive rock & roll. Go the Beat-Man Way!
www.myspace.com/reverendbeatman

Reno Divorce
Brent Loveday's voice and guitar sound resemble the illustrious customs of Mike Ness, which is a blessing for those who love Social Distortion from last century. Reno Divorce goes from Denver to the glory years of the Orange County pioneers and emerge with their own heartfelt punkrock & roll.
